Cade's Cove
Nature's open-air museum. The Cades Cove Visitor Center is open daily, except in winter when it is open on weekends. Cultural history displays are integrated with sales items. Orientation information is also available.
Bicycles rentals are available from April through October and in December. Horseback riding is seasonally available from near the loop road entrance. Daily hayrides offer another great way to see the Cove. A campground store is open from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm in spring and fall. It remains open to 7:00 pm in summer.

Mills Park - located on Proffitt Road just off U.S. Highway 321 behind Gatlinburg-Pittman High School. Facilities include softball field, horseshoe pits, jogging trail, playground, tennis courts, football field, basketball court and 400-meter track.
Mynatt Park
Gatlinburg's beautiful Mynatt Park offers a picnic area by the river, barbeque grills, horseshoe pit, basketball court, tennis courts, baseball field, and a large picnic pavilion.

North Gatlinburg Park - located on the right, just as you enter Gatlinburg from the Spur. Facilities include trout fishing, horseshoe pits, walking trails and a playground.
All city parks have restroom facilities as well as covered pavilions with grills and picnic tables. Pavilions can be reserved by out-of-town visitors as well as local residents. Pavilions at Mynatt Park and Mills Park can be reserved for up to four hours at a cost of $25. Any amount of time over four hours costs an additional $10. At North Gatlinburg Park, the cost is $35 for up to four hours and $10 for any amount of time over four hours. City park officials recommend making reservations as far in advance as possible, especially for weekend outings. Reservations for 1999 won't be accepted until Monday, January 4 of that year. The city's Recreation Department operates a community center where visitors can enjoy a variety of activities in a 52,000 square foot facility. It's located on Proffitt Road, just off U.S. Highway 321, near Mills Park. Visitors can access four racquetball courts, a fitness center, an eight-lane bowling center, a game room, a 25-yard indoor pool, a gymnasium as well as locker and meeting facilities.
Admission fees are required to bowl, swim (see Visitor Information page), work out or play racquetball (courts can be reserved in advance). Swimming hours vary throughout the year, depending on the scheduling of swimming classes. The community center advises calling ahead to check on the pool's availability for any particular day. Call them at (865) 436-4990 for pool schedules as well as other specific price information on any of their activities.
